One solved, one more

Sharon over at in a minute ago has solved the puzzle of the origin of the quote I posted yesterday - it is by James Truslow Adams.

Jigsaw quilt music

Here is the next question - is there any significance to this bar of music??? One person who has looked at it says that it is not "real" music (nor does it spell anything). But you never know.....

Oooooooooh, and I hadn't noticed - those fans above the music are just mainly fly stitch with a long "holder" going to a central point. Verrrrry clever.

Jerry dragged out his fiddle and it is the first 4 bars of Auld Lang Syne - but there was one note out- but he said he might need his glasses on!

Oh! Wow!

Thanks Sharon, and please thank Jerry. How very Victorian. I wonder what else is hidden on this quilt - there is a quite detailed embroidery of a violin - wonder if there is anything else to discover there.
